COLLEGE MAGAZINE + EVALUATION

The first thing that you notice about this magazine is the bold headlines all in different fonts, sizes and colours. This would attract college students because when asked in the college magazine questionnaire they said one of things that would attract them to a magazine would be the colour and style. The magazine is called ‘NOTES’ because it is associated with the target audience. The college magazine is also shown to be published monthly “What’s on the silver screen this month” which is also what the students said they wanted. As well as being published monthly the magazine is also priced at 50p cheap for students to buy. The most popular features asked to be published in the college magazine were Job offers, movie reviews, gig guides, fashion, news (locally and worldly) and music, all of which have been shown to be featured inside the magazine and ‘Plus loads more’. The pictures featured on the front cover and contents page of the magazine link with the college students, as music is a main interest in student’s lives, plus the front cover picture is of a college student. The language of this magazine would appeal to the college student audience as it is informal.
